1. Core Drive & Clamping System
Heavy-Duty, High-Rigidity Bed: Constructed from high-grade cast iron or polymer concrete, offering excellent vibration damping and ensuring overall stability, which is the foundation of precision.
Headstock Assembly: Comprises a high-power main motor, a high-precision gear transmission box, and a high-rigidity main spindle. The front end of the spindle is equipped with a drive center (spur center or toothed chuck) to penetrate and drive the log.
Hydraulic Tailstock & Tail Center: Moves in sync with the headstock. The hydraulically-driven tail center clamps the log from the opposite end, forming a secure "center-clamping" system.
Tool Carriage Assembly: A high-rigidity cast structure that holds the extra-long peeling knife and the pressure bar (nose bar). The pressure bar compresses the wood fibers ahead of the cut to minimize backside checks.
